New Goats!

So we had decided a little while ago to get another goat, to have a more steady flow of milk, when we breed one, and ours also was getting low on her milk supply. So after a while of looking(they are not very easy to find around here) we came across an ad for some goats, so we decided to go take a look and hopefully be able to buy one! I had miss typed the address in when I googled directions the first time, we thought they were an hour away, well come to find out, they were really 3hrs one way!! So we made the decision to go anyways, we were having no luck finding any around here anyways. So we made the long long journey, Mikayla and Sullivan stayed with My friend Nicole, and of course this is the evening Sullivan decides to cut a tooth! So he was not a happy camper!! :(( Well, we ended up bringing three Goats home! We got a great deal, and now we have a nice little herd! Can't wait to get to know these girls! They seem soo sweet.

This is Brandy, she is a Alpine Nubian cross she's about a year and a half
This is Beatrice, she is pure Alpine, and a herd leader, this is the best pic of her I could get, she was too busy butting heads with my other adult Fawn(another herd leader)
This is Cloe', pure Alpine, sooo sweet!
 Cloe' again!
Launa, she has grown! pretty girl!
 Brandy
And Fawn, protecting "her" barn! She doesn't really want to share that space!
The new girls are a little on the thin side, normal for a doe in milk, but I think we can get them fattened up a bit!

We have new babies!!

Yes new little babies! Chicks of course! We had one of our hens sitting on a cluch of eggs, this is our second attempt, last time was a no go. Well this time it worked but only for four little ones! She was sitting on about 12-15 eggs, I'm not sure, and through out the 21days she broke a few here and there. Well on Sunday, our rooster escaped the pen, and my husband went out to take care of him, and low and behold there with momma hen was four cute little chicks, also one fetus that died in egg and two unhatched eggs(which turned out they died too, not sure why) so we only got four, but that's great! they are soo cute and it is just soo neat to watch how mommy hen takes care of them!
Also have to share how sweet little Sullivan looks in his sweet shirt n tie for Church on Sunday! Thanks to my best friend Nicole for passing down this tie and others!
He's soo cute, he is waving in this picture!
