Sullivan Get to taste His First Cereal!

Well since Sullivan is turning 5mos on Monday, and he is soooo interested in food and drinks of ours, and wants to eat more often lately, I thought we would try having some baby cereal, Sullivan thought that was a good idea too! He was soo funny, I think I must have him trained now, that when you see the camera you smile! Because he was too busy looking at the camera and smiling to even eat, once the camera was put down he could concentrate more. He did pretty well and of course did not mind it all. He's getting sooo big sooo fast!

WOW, what's that, I can eat like a big boy!

Ummm, this is kinda strange!

OH Hi Mom, Smile!

Smile!

Still Smiling!

Smile, this is fun! :)

Craft

I found this idea online, and loved it, I just had to try it. I like how it came out. This is a reallly really cheap craft. All you need is some small thin branches from a tree, and tissue paper(two shades of pink) and hot glue gun, and a pretty vase to put them in. I just cut out of the two color tissue paper layered on top of each other, the shape of a flower, I was not careful in this, some didn't even look like a flower, then bunched up the ends and glued all over the branches.

Glad I'm not broken glass!

Have you ever thought of how when you drop and break glass, either a cup, vase, plate, anything glass, how it breaks into a million pieces, and immediately you get a broom and dust pan and sweep up them mess and throw away the pieces, never do you once stop and think to yourself, well with a little glue and alot of patience, I think I could put the pieces back together! I'm soo thankful that our God is patient, that when our lives are a mess, wrecked, in a million pieces, that he doesnt just look down on us and say oh I better get the broom and dust pan and throw away that mess. No our Lord, takes the time to put our lives back together. What a God we serve!

What a beautiful day.. I love spring, flowers are blooming, and our garden is starting to grow!

So I learned today... that you never go into a chicken coop in flipflops! Those hens just LOVE TOES! must think they are little worms or something, they all kept gathering around and pecking my toes! Ouch!

The Gift of Motherhood.

Motherhood, is truly a gift from the Lord. To be a mom is a great blessing. "lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward" Psalms 127:3
I am soo truly thankful that the Lord has called me to be a mother. What a blessing, a mother of two children. What a task I have, I am to ensure that I raise them right, raise them for the Lord, teach them His ways. But I am soo thankful that I have His Word to guide me in that. The Lord did not leave us empty handed. We have His pure, undefiled Word with the king james bible, to live by. It's our manual, our how to book, our thou shalt not and our thou shalt, He gives us commandments, rules to live by, what not to do, followed by what too do. God is sooo wonderful, He's a God of Love, full of love and mercy and grace, but not just love mercy and grace, He's also a Just God, a Jealous God, unchanging God, and soo many more attributes. I am soo thankful for all that He is. It's soo important not to focus on just one or two of God's attributes, but to fully acknowledge them all. John 1:1 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. here in this verse it tells us how the bible is God and that it was from the beginning. Also here are some verses that tell us that God is unchangeable, He Never changes! Malachi 3:6 " For I am the LORD, I change not" Hebrews 13:8"Jesus Christ the same yesterday. and to day, and for ever." also psalms 33:11 and I am sure there are more. I am soo thankful that He is unchanging, what would my life be like if God changed all the time? I wouldn't want to know! And while on the thought of our Unchanging God, if he's unchanging-like His Word says, and His Word is God- like the bible says, than why is it, that we have so many different english "versions or better said perversions" of the "bible" that have changed His Words? Even taken out parts of His Word? That does not make much since to me. Since we read verses in the Bible that say He never changes! But yes there are Always NEW versions coming out. What was wrong with the first one anyways, who are we to change God's Word?

Well that was a little rabbit trail I went off on, but my point is that as a mother, it is sooo assuring and comforting to know that we have a manual for life, and manual of how not to raise our kids and how to raise our kids, a guide on Mothering! Glory to God for his Goodness to us!

It was nice, I got to spend some time with my mom on mothers day, and we tried to get some pictures of me and her and my two kids, it was fun and funny, I set the camera on a ladder and on timer mode, so I would push the button and run back to get into the picture!

I hope everyone has a wonderful mothers day!
