Blanket for Sullivan

Just wanted to share the blanket that I made for Sullivan, I like how it turned out, as long as I dont look at the details! opps! I'm a very newbie at sewing.

Sullivan 4months old already!!!

Time really does fly! Sullivan turned 4months old on saturday! So to the studio we went today for some updated pictures! :) he is constinantly changing! I love capturing all the new things he can do!

Up-Cycle-Studio prop stool!!!

Went shopping today at goodwill, and the second I walked through the door, right in front of me I spotted a stool, it had my name all over it! I knew I just had to have, and could see the potential! So I get a cart and grab the stool, this little girl maybe 3 or 4 was looking at books right near where the stool was, and I hear he say to her mom, "mom, she took my stool"! :) Anyways I only paid
great deal!! some might say too much, but ohhh what it would cost new! So then, went to joann's fabric and got just the right material $5.oo, and some metal decorative nails $4.00. So total $17.00!!

So here I have a dirty nasty beat up stool, still structurally sound, and with a little bit of

Ripping, and plying tacks out, I reveal the first fabric, looks like someone has already redid this once! This must be pretty old, the bottom fabric just ripped off in pieces.

now I'm at the bare bones!! Time to reupholster!


so just a bit of hammering here and there,

and whall laa, a new(new to me) pretty snazy prop for the studio, at a fraction of the price of a brand new one from a prop store! yeah!!

Oh all while Sullivan laid on the floor and played with his bird friend!(this does not happen often) Mikayla did have to help out and hold him for some part of it!

WOW

It's amazing! Sullivan feel asleep in the car on the way home from me bringing Mikayla to a friends house, and came in the house and have been doing stuff for about 45mins now, and he is STILL asleep in his carseat! That is Unheard of!!! Usually he doesn't fall asleep in the car anymore, and if he does, he defiantly would wake up upon arrival of home! wow wow wow! :)

that means I am two handed typing! I haven't done much of that since he's been born! :) Here's a picture to prove it!

new blog!

Well, I have decided that I would TRY to start blogging again! Don't expect much, because I am not a writer, I sit down to type and my mind goes blank! But I will at least try to update often with pictures of my children for family all around to see. So here are some recent pics of Sullivan and Mikayla too!
